CASTLE ROCK - Free Jazz Leadsheet

“castle rock” was composed by Erroll Garner and first recorded in 1947 during one of Garner’s early studio sessions. The tune later gained additional visibility when Woody Herman’s orchestra recorded a popular version in 1951.

The piece is an instrumental built around blues-inflected phrasing and a relaxed, mid-tempo groove.
